Hi, I'm Omar Alali. I'm from Saudi Arabia and a Cybersecurity graduate from Florida International University (FIU) with a 3.97 / 4.00 GPA. I also earned an Undergraduate Certificate in Ethics, Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence.

My journey into technology began in an unexpected way. I originally studied Business for two years, but over time I realized my true passion was technology. While studying business, I wanted a gaming PC but couldn't afford a prebuilt one. Instead, I bought the individual parts and taught myself how to build it by watching YouTube videos and reading manuals. Successfully building that computer sparked my interest in technology and inspired me to pursue a completely different career.

After making that decision, I moved to the United States to learn English before beginning my bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity at Florida International University.

Today, I'm passionate about cybersecurity, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, networking, automation, and emerging technologies. I enjoy building hands-on projects, continuously learning new skills, and earning industry certifications while exploring different areas of technology and security.

My goal is to become a well-rounded technology professional with the flexibility to work across cybersecurity, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, networking, automation, software development, and other emerging technologies — continuing to learn, build, and make a meaningful impact wherever I go.

My Journey

How a gaming PC led to a cybersecurity career.

The path from curiosity to career — one step at a time.

2018

Studying Business

Wanted a gaming PC but couldn't afford a prebuilt one — so I decided to build my own instead.

Turning Point

Built My First PC

Bought the parts and taught myself how to build it by watching YouTube videos and reading manuals. Successfully building that computer sparked a passion for technology that changed my career goals completely.

Before The Move

Learning English

I didn't speak English at the time, so I spent a year learning the language before moving to the United States to study cybersecurity.

FIU

Studying Cybersecurity

Moved to the United States and studied Cybersecurity at Florida International University, graduating with a 3.97 / 4.00 GPA and an Undergraduate Certificate in Ethics, Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence.

Today & Beyond

Cybersecurity, Cloud & Beyond

Building hands-on projects across cybersecurity, cloud computing, AI, networking, automation, and software development — continuously earning certifications and exploring where technology and security intersect.

How I Work

Learning by building.

I believe the fastest way to actually understand cloud security is to build it — then break it, monitor it, and document what happens.

Hands-On Projects

Building real AWS environments with Terraform — not just reading about them.

Security First

Least privilege, defense in depth, and encrypted logging as defaults, not afterthoughts.

Always Learning

Certifications, labs, and continuous practice across AWS, Microsoft, and offensive/defensive platforms.
